Professional Conduct

The Professional Conduct department is committed to public safety by overseeing social workers’ practice and conduct and ensuring adherence to social work standards and ethics. We work with complainants and registered social workers to address reported concerns while ensuring public protection and accountability are at the forefront of decision-making.

Members of the public can make a complaint to the ACSW about any registered social worker who acts in an unprofessional manner. We receive and manage complaints to address unprofessional conduct and determine if discipline is required. We work together with registered social workers to uphold accountability and public trust in social work practice.
