Part-time (or casual) status only affects your competence requirements. It does not impact the annual registration fee. This allows RSWs who practice social work less than 1000 hours per year to reduce their continuing competence requirements. Full-time status is for RSWs who practice social work more than 1000 hours per year.
Choosing part-time or casual status may lead to the need for greater continuing competence efforts due to fewer hours in practice.
